Susan Keim
Susan has been a Co-Facilitator for the Overland Park Rotary Club Foundation’s annual Youth Leadership Institute
for the past six years. Susan also serves as our YLI Program Coordinator. Currently, Susan is a fulltime Ph.D.
student in Public Administration at the University of Kansas. In addition, she is teaching undergraduate courses
at the University of Kansas. Susan is also an adjunct faculty member at Donnelly College. In addition to those
responsibilities, Susan facilitates strategic planning, community trusteeship, community development and team
building for businesses and not-for-profits throughout the country.
Prior to that Susan was Executive Director of Leadership 2000 in Wyandotte County, Kansas, for eighteen years.
She guided the neighborhood leadership program along with the traditional community leadership program. Her
organization was one of 17 leadership groups from throughout the state of Kansas participating in the Kansas
Community Leadership Initiative sponsored by the Kansas Health Foundation. Susan continues to volunteer with
Leadership 2000.
Susan's past leadership accomplishments include chairing the All-America City Steering Committee, which won the
coveted All-America City Award for Kansas City, Kansas/Wyandotte County. She was founding chairman of the Community
Foundation of Wyandotte County. Susan has been chairman of United Way of Wyandotte County, the Wyandotte County
Citizen's Planning Committee, Kansas City Consensus and the Kansas Leadership Forum.
Susan is a graduate of Leadership 2000 and Leadership Kansas. She has won the Preceptor Award and the Distinguished
Leader Award from the Community Leadership Association and the Distinguished Leadership Award from the Kansas
Leadership Forum. Susan is a Kansas Jayhawk through and through, having received her B.A. and M.P.A. |

Don Wise
Don Wise has over twenty years in nonprofit administration and community leadership. He is currently the
Co Director of The Coro leadership program at the Center for Leadership at Park University and is the
former director of the Civic Leadership Training Council of Wyandotte County, in Kansas City, Kansas.
He has a Master's Degree in Adaptive Education from Ohio State University and is a Fellow at both the
University of Missouri-Kansas City's Midwest Center for Nonprofit Leadership and at the Hauptmann School
of Public Affairs at Park University, where he has designed and now teaches a variety of graduate level
courses in community and nonprofit leadership.
