YLI Privacy Policy

Disclosure: YLI will not disclose to outside parties any personally identifiable information obtained from the submission of an email inquiry without the consent of the applicant (except as required by subpoena or other legal process or in the case of imminent physical harm to the customer or others). When YLI uses agents, contractors or other companies to perform services on its behalf, YLI will require that they protect your personally identifiable information consistent with this Policy.

Responses to Email Inquiries: When Visitors send email inquiries to YLI, the return email address is used to answer the email inquiry we receive. YLI does not use the return email address for any other purpose and does not share the return email address with any third party, except fellow participants on your Class Roster, access to which is restricted to "YLI Members" only. The term "YLI Members" includes members of a participant’s YLI Class, as well as members of the YLI Committee and the Foundation’s Board of Trustees.

Improper Conduct: YLI may use identifiable information from an applicant or participant to investigate and help prevent potentially unlawful activity or activity that threatens the network or otherwise violates this agreement for service.

Updates: YLI may amend the Privacy Policy from time to time. These changes will be posted online and take effect as soon as they are posted.

Proprietary Rights Contained in this Web Site

Unless otherwise indicated, all information contained in this Web Site, including design, text, graphics, and the selection and arrangement thereof is the property of the Overland Park Rotary Club Foundation. Trademarks

ROTARY, the ROTARY EMBLEM, ROTARY INTERNATIONAL, ROTARIAN, THE ROTARY FOUNDATION, ROTARY CLUB, SERVICE ABOVE SELF, POLIOPLUS, among numerous others, collectively the "Rotary Marks," are registered trademarks of Rotary International, 1560 Sherman Avenue, Evanston, Illinois 60602, USA. All rights reserved.

RI owns the trademarks for the use and benefit of all Rotarians. By complying with the guidelines for the use of the Rotary Marks you are helping to protect the Rotary Marks for all Rotarians into the future. The use of any of the Rotary Marks in any manner not authorized by the Constitution and Bylaws of Rotary International, or by action of the Rotary International Board of Directors, is forbidden and all Rotary districts, clubs, individual Rotarians and other recognized Rotary Entities (as defined in the Rotary Code of Policies) shall conform to this provision. The Overland Park Rotary Club Foundation (the "Foundation") has created and maintains http://www.YouthLeadershipInstitute.org (the "Site") as a service to Foundation members and members of its affiliate, the Overland Park Rotary Club. Access to and use of this Site is subject to the following terms and conditions ("Terms and Conditions") and all applicable laws. By accessing and browsing the Site, you accept, without limitation or qualification, the Terms and Conditions and other notices. You acknowledge full and complete acceptance of these terms.

Linking Policy

The Foundation welcomes Rotary clubs, districts and other Rotary entities to link to this Site. Any other individuals or entities interested in linking to this Site, must obtain the express written permission of the Foundation. Links may resolve to the home page (http://www.YouthLeadershipInstitute.org) or to specific pages within this Site.

• Links must lead to whole pages within the Site. Direct linking to partial pages or individual files (i.e. image files, multimedia files, etc.) is not permitted. Similarly, the Foundation does not permit the framing of its pages and files in the frame sets of external sites.

The information and opinions expressed in materials posted by visitors on the YLI Participant’s room, bulletin boards, lists or other venues connected with our site (collectively, "Forums") are not necessarily those of the Foundation or its affiliates and the Foundation makes no representations or warranties regarding such posted materials.

Users should be aware that our Forums are public, not private communications. When you voluntarily disclose personal information on our Forums, that information can be collected and used by others and may result in unsolicited messages from other people.

You shall not submit, upload or post to our Forums any content which:

• libels, defames, invades privacy, or is obscene, pornographic, abusive, or threatening;

• infringes any intellectual property or other right of any person or entity, including but not limited to, violating anyone’s copyrights or trademarks;

falsifies or deletes author attributions, legal notices or other proprietary designations;
violates any law;
advocates illegal activity;

This Site is controlled, operated and administered by the Foundation from its offices within the United States. General

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the internal laws of the State of Kansas, without giving effect to principles of conflict of laws. You hereby consent to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the state courts sitting in Johnson County, Kansas or the federal courts in the Easter District of Kansas to resolve any disputes arising under these Terms and Conditions.

These Terms and Conditions contain the complete agreement between the parties with respect to the subject matter hereof, and supersede all prior or contemporaneous agreements or understandings, whether oral or written. The failure or delay of the Foundation to exercise any of its rights under these Terms and Conditions or upon any breach of this Agreement shall not be deemed a waiver of those rights or of the breach.

If any of these Terms and Conditions shall be held by a court of competent jurisdiction to be contrary to law, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permissible and the remaining provisions of the Terms and Conditions will remain in full force and effect.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Foundation, its affiliates, Rotary International, The Rotary Foundation, the Overland Park Rotary Club, and their respective officers, employees and assigns, from any claim, demand, or damage, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, asserted by any third party due to or arising out of your use of or conduct on the Site.

RI may at any time revise these Terms and Conditions and other notices contained herein by updating this posting. You are bound by such revisions and should periodically visit this page to review the then-current Terms and Conditions.
