Who Sponsors YLI and Why?

The Youth Leadership Institute is presented by the

Overland Park Rotary Club Foundation
in association with
Johnson County Community College.

The Overland Park Rotary Club is a local chapter of Rotary International. Club Members represent a cross-section of local business and professional men and women. Members actively promote Rotary’s mission of SERVICE ABOVE SELF. Club Members raise money for local charities by co-sponsoring the July 4th Star Spangled Spectacular for Overland Park at Corporate Woods.

The Overland Park Rotary Club Foundation is an affiliate of the Club. The Foundation and Club collaborate in supporting multiple charitable causes throughout Greater Kansas City. The Foundation demonstrates Rotary’s commitment to youth by sponsoring the annual Youth Leadership Institute for area high school students and awarding $3,000 in college scholarships. YLI seeks to develop tomorrow’s leaders today. The Foundation seeks to inspire YLI graduates to stay in the Metropolitan Kansas City area and apply their leadership skills and passion to help make Kansas City a better place to live, work and play.
